![]() ![]() True, it might not be ground-breaking, but it works and never bores. If this is, however, not your cup of tea, I would still advice to pick up this manga because the art is solid and the story is great. Now, a year later, she made the decision as well to move to Tokyo in order to become a famous rock-star. She had a relationship with Ren, but they broke up when he moved to Tokyo to become a famous rock-star, because Nana didn't want to live in his shadow. ![]() Nana O, on the other hand, is confident and calm and has a passion for music. She decides to move to Tokyo to finally take control of her life. Nana K (soon called Hachi) has very romantic ideas about love, but her relationships do not work out. The story is about two girls that happen to share the name Nana, meet each other when they move to Tokyo and decide to share an apartment, which is about as much as the two girls have in common. It reads somewhat like a soap story, but without the superfluous drama and impossible plot-twists that are there just to keep the series alive. Nana is one of my all-time favourite mangas. Other readers persuaded me to buy the second volume as well and give it a try, and from that moment on, I was hooked! I reread this volume and enjoyed it a lot more than before. I do not know why, but I did not like it. This was mainly to blame on the first time I read the first volume (this volume). ![]() I admit that, at first, I did not enjoy Nana.
